Dr. Nick Vecchio was born in Argentina, where he attended the National University of La Plata School of Veterinary Medicine in Buenos Aires. Dr. Vecchio graduated in 2002, receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He remained in Argentina to complete an Internship in Anesthesia as well as work as a Clinical Instructor/Staff Surgeon in the Surgery Department of the Vet School. Dr. Vecchio joined the MedVet Memphis team in 2005, and completed a one-year externship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Vecchio left us briefly for one-year to complete a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He returned to MedVet in 2007, to complete an Internship in Small Animal Surgery. In 2008, Dr. Vecchio began a three-year residency program with us in Small Animal Surgery.
